WHY BUILD A POOL?

A swimming pool that is tastefully designed, structurally sound and planned with careful consideration as to usage is perhaps the greatest improvement that can be added to your home. Swimming, when enjoyed on a regular basis, has proven to be one of the best aerobic exercises to help maintain good cardiovascular health. Aside from adding an elegant look to your home, a Swimcraft pool contributes substantially to the quality of life for your family.

HOW DO I DECIDE ABOUT SIZE AND SHAPE?

Pool size is determined by three factors: cost, number of users and their swimming style and the size of the area (yard) available for pool construction. The shape of the pool is limited only by the imagination. Swimcraft pools are computer designed specifically to meet the customer's lifestyle and desires.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EXCAVATION AND CONSTRUCTION?

Swimcraft Pools has the experience of over 30 years in this business to make all of the right engineering decisions that are compatible with all existing construction, piping, paving and zoning. When choosing your pool builder, it is crucial that they be well qualified in all legal and geo-technical aspects of pool building. While your pool is being built, we invite you to watch the progress and see for yourself the superior structural materials and methods we use throughout.

HOW ABOUT THE FINISHING TOUCHES SUCH AS TILE AND DECKING?

You will have the pleasure of choosing the color and pattern for the ceramic tile that surrounds the inside of the pool at the waterline. This trim makes for easy cleaning and adds a beautiful stain-free trim that greatly enhances the aesthetic value of any size or shape of pool. Acrylic or brick paver decking adds another dimension of beauty and enjoyment to the pool area. It should be designed with generous areas to allow for safe comfortable movement around the pool. Other decking considerations might include the use of the pool area for special occasions and also for placement of outdoor furniture. Swimcraft offers a wide range of the highest quality interlocking pavers to provide long lasting beauty and charm to your pool deck. In addition, Swimcraft also uses an acrylic deck finish that imparts durability, sun and fade resistance and offers several patterns to choose from. It is cool to the touch and provides a non-skid surface texture.

WHAT KIND OF FILTRATION SYSTEMS DOES SWIMCRAFT USE?

The filter is the heart of your swimming pool. One filtration system we install is the diatomaceous earth (D.E.) filter and it has proven to be the most dependable and trouble-free system available. It makes use of a series of nylon fabric covered grids. D.E., a natural earth powder, is added to the system which adheres to the grids. This powder microscopically cleans the water, collects dirt and allows for a high rate of water flow. Cleaning the filter is accomplished by reversing the water flow through the filter, a flip of the switch and within 90 seconds the filter is clean. Swimcraft also installs cartridge filters. A cartridge filter has a removable and re-useable polyester cartridge which removes dirt and debris as the water passes through several pleated layers. Cleaning the filter is accomplished by simply removing the cartridges and rinsing with a garden hose. Each Swimcraft customer has a choice of which filter they want on their pool. The filter system installed by Swimcraft will provide clean sparkling water with a minimum of maintenance. The entire volume of water in the pool should pass through the filter within an eight-hour period.

WHAT ARE SOME THINGS I CAN ADD TO MY BASIC CUSTOM-DESIGNED INGROUND POOL?

There are many options available to enhance your basic pool. Most people choose to add a cleaning system which could range from a simple "robot-style" cleaner to a complete automated pool debris management system. Other additions could include: spas, outdoor kitchens, screen enclosures, waterfalls/fountains, color fiber optic track lighting, heaters, diving boards/slides and automated control systems.

WILL SWIMCRAFT MAKE A FINAL INSPECTION AND SHOW US HOW IT ALL WORKS?

When your pool is finished, a Swimcraft representative will conduct a short class in water chemistry and instruct you in the care and cleaning of your pool. At this time, Swimcraft will also attend to any "finish up" details and make sure that you are completely satisfied with your new pool.
